Urbanski Insurance Inc - Rochester
Brendan Peck I went through Urbanski because my Dad insisted on it. Initially when I called, I was told I had to come in because "they dont do business over the phone" in 2025. Immediately I didnt want to go with them because thats just outdated. I sign up for my policy anyway and went through progressive. We paid all of the 6 month up front. A month later, I get a notification on that it has been cancelled. I call progressive and the bank to ensure everything was correct, the bank says there was never a payment they declined and theres plenty of money to pay the 6 month premium Urbanski had no information for me and didnt even know it was cancelled. Progressive ends up telling me they cannot sign me a policy in NYS at all now that it happened once. Basically, this boils down to an issue of entering the card information incorrectly or something on the Agency side is what I was told. Now I cant go through progressive at all, have to pay more through the next lowest company, and will not be going through Urbanski for anything anymore. Should have trusted my gut or checked the reviews before just trusting them. Look anywhere else.
Update: Finally got them on the phone today. Let the rude old man know that I didnt appreciate being screwed out of a policy with Progressive, he simply said "okay goodbye" with no apologoy or anything whatsoever. He was cutting me off the entire time I was explaining what happened and how we arrived at the fact that he screwed everything up. No apology. Kept saying "did you call progressive?" Each time I spoke. Isnt the entire reason we go through an agency so that they can do this stuff for us? This is hands down the worst experience Ive ever had as a customer.
