They are friendly, knowledgeable, always respond to calls and e-mails promptly, and we feel confident that we’re getting the best rates for our home and autos. We recently had to look for insurance on a new tractor and appreciated Sharon’s diligence in researching our best options, which turned out to be with the company we bought the tractor from instead of through the insurance agency. This shows great integrity and we are very grateful for that. I don’t usually feel compelled to write reviews, but this is a business I am comfortable recommending to anyone in need of help with their insurance coverage.

Mel Solomon Burchell agency recently took over the Nationwide office in Ithaca after Stan Barlow retired. I am just getting to know the agents in the office. Recently without me contacting them, Nikki called me and said there may be new ratings that Nationwide has introduced for auto insurance and would I mind if she re-did a quote for me. In a few days I got a call from her saying that my premium would go down over $200 for 6 months. Could I use the $200? You bet! What agent would call a customer to voluntarily reduce pricing? A good agent, thats who. Thank you Nationwide insurance. And thank you Nikki and the Burchell agency.
