The KeyBank website has a page detailing what to bring to a branch in order to open an account; I made sure to read it through before visiting the branch.
Met with a banker, provided documentation, opened an account. No issues or concerns.
DAYS passed.
Then I received a phone call: I must return to the branch immediately, with a specific document in-hand.
Then a letter arrived: present the document, or else the account would be closed.
Neither offered an explanation as to why this document hadnt been required during my initial visit, where I could have easily presented it—without the hassle of taking time off work in order to make a second trip to the branch.
I decided to close the account.
