1 /5 Meghan Lepore: My husband today called about a check that didn’t clear. He called to inquire as to why it didn’t and what he had to do so it could clear. The other man on the line couldn’t have been more rude to him. He was very condescending and acted as if doing his job was an inconvenience to him. If you do not want to work with customers then do not get a job that requires you to. You are not only making yourself miserable but also being unhelpful and disrespectful.

1 /5 J Mike “4MOTION”: The people who work here are great and amazing. The corporation and corporate office and policies absolutely are horrendous. I was a member here for almost 7 years and in the last year I have pulled my accounts and moved to union savings bank. Hvfcu now just treats you like a number just another person to make money off of. They dont care about your history with them or how much business you do with them your just another account. Again this rating is about the corporate offices nothing against the people who work there. They are amazing and try to do the best they can for you. I honestly suggest banking anywhere else.

1 /5 Bullrock NY: The people here are always great. The bank itself is absolutely horrible. I switched to a credit union to escape the predatory practices of the big banks. However, HVFCU policies are far worse and more predatory. For example, if you dont have the funds to cover the purchase they will deny the purchase and still charge you an overdraft fee, even though you didnt even overdraft. Bunch of thieves. Not to mention they would often deny my businesses requests for as little as 200 singles and/or $50 in mixed coins. They would often ask me to notify them days ahead of time. Its just a horrible horrible bank and I highly advise against using them.

5 /5 Erin D: I absolutely love this location. Everyone I have spoken to and worked with has been very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The tellers here have been able to help where another location, Mahopac, has not. They go the extra mile to provide outstanding customer service and I highly recommend the Carmel location to everyone.

1 /5 Sonia Rivera: The employees are very nice. I have however experienced issues with banking and credit card payments. The banking records and credit card payment records do not coincide. They have reported my payments past due when they are on autopay and have charged overdraft fees while there are sufficient funds in the account. I was told that my statements would be emailed to me today. I was reported past due to the credit bureaus for a May payment that I physically made in person for over 500 dollars. The bank shows no record of the payment, however the credit card system shows the payment and the bank is charging overdraft fees for that payment I made ( in person).There is a 900 dollar discrepancy in my account as of right now with several overdraft fees. Its disappointing. Its been brought to their attention and I am looking forward to a resolution. Once its resolved I think I will need to reconsider using this branch or bank at all. My suggestion is to keep copious records yourself.
