1 /5 Yolanda G: I always say representation is everything. I wanted to leave my review, about 3 weeks ago because I wanted to leave a review based off experience and not just emotions. So I waited and here I am. Three weeks ago I called Heritage to let them know I was canceling and switching insurance because I received a much better quote through Progressive. There were three vehicles on my policy, along with renters insurance. Based off my new policy I was being charge $500 more than I am now with my current insurance provider. My complaint is the high cost of 3 vehicles, but mostly Melissa. She has a very nasty disposition and an even nastier attitude. This is my experience with her. If you had a better one, good for you. The absolute whole time I was trying to explain why I was calling, she was very abrupt and not listening. She pesistantly kept talking over me. I found that to be very rude. I had to ask a few times to not be interrupted while I was speaking. Her responses were "I didnt realize I was doing that." However, I explained it to her 3 times that she was doing that. Finally, after being able to get out what I called for, she had the audacity to to tell me to have a great day and hung up the phone. But she had clearly ruined my day. I have never been made to feel like "Christmas was ruined for her family because I did not want or need their service any longer feeling" in my life. It was horrible. Melissa makes Heritage Insurance Agency on Bay Rd in Cicero, NY look real bad. She is not a people person, and does not respect customers. Im not sure why she has a customer service job because she clearly missed that lesson. The worst experience of my life. I would not rent from them again or reccomend their service because of Melissa. Ever. It sucks to have to leave this review but maybe Dennis (the owner) will understand the kind of personality he is working with. He may already know, but that is his problem, not mine. Hopefully, she will change her attitude. Just because you cannot see a person does not mean you have to be nasty to them. No customer EVER, especially a paying one deserves this kind of neglect and disrespect. Melissa, I pray you find a more suitable job because answering telephones is not your strongest attribute.
