1 /5 Dennis Allende: I cant speak for Financial Partners of Upstate New York as a whole, but I can comment on one of their managers (JB). He was a manager/sales trainer at a financial services firm in Vienna, VA until he was run out of town. JB is pretty much just a used car salesman. Nice guy, but his tactics are very neanderthal. He started out in Buffalo, NY at age 18 and worked his way up (go to the website, youll see his bio).
JB was also afraid to go out into the field to demonstrate his strategies he would teach in class. He pretty much knew they didnt work. Again, he was a really nice guy, but when the managing partner of the Vienna firm got fired in early 2018 and they hired his replacement, I heard the replacement realized he was not very professional and let him go. Once again - JB is a nice guy, but hes not a very good advisor. I wish him well. If youre thinking of joining this firm, steer clear of his classes!
