1 /5 Ali Kazmi: I filed my 2016 and 2017 year taxes with Ijaz. While I paid for his professional accounting services, he failed to successfully file my 2016 taxes. I had notified him on several occasions that I thought something went wrong - the automated payment that was scheduled from my account had never occurred; instead he advised to not worry and that it would eventually be withdrawn. 2017, when I filed my taxes with him a second time, I had reminded him of the 2016 issue, he said hed look into it and get back to me; he never did. Ijaz had only taken action AFTER I received a letter from the IRS stating that my taxes were NOT filed. It took Ijaz 2 years to contingently check with his internal systems that my taxes did NOT in fact get filed due to negligence on his behalf. Not only that, but since he neglected to file my taxes, I am now responsible to pay penalty fees of a failure to pay and file my taxes with additional accrued interest that could have been avoided if Ijaz had done his job. City Financial is not taking responsibility for their mistakes and put myself in harms way. Ijaz has failed to provide a solution to any of this or take responsibility for his mistakes.
When a person or business uses an accountant for help in filing tax returns, a reasonable expectation for proper filing of the return is not much to ask for. I strongly recommend anyone who is considering using City Financial Services to find any other qualified professional to do your taxes for you. Ijaz Ahmed is a risk and an unethical business owner that has no contingency systems implemented whatsoever. Anybody who is already a client of his, I highly recommend checking over your taxes filed, and ensuring everything is ok on your end; Ijaz will not care to check these things for you!
