1 /5 Brad Golden: Old school bank with antiquated policies in my opinion. I am a 25 year+ customer. This is my primary bank for daily transactions. Service is average, I still need to show Id to cash a check for some reason. Dont get me wrong, I appreciate the level of security. But I once asked what the benefit of using a local bank vs online and I was told customer service. This does not apply to the branches I deal with unfortunately. I have had two personal loans and a car loan through this bank over the years. I recently needed a loan for a home improvement project. It has been 8 days since I applied, no communication whatsoever. I called them and they said they were working on it and it will take a few more days. I ended up going through my online bank and had the money in less than 48 hours. It is 2024, it should not take more than a few days to process a loan. Furthermore, my online institution offers a high yield account with 4.75% Apr. Interest! So again, I ask, why should I continue with local banking? You do not offer friendly service, you lack communication, your process is SLOW and it is downright frustrating to deal with the branches when I do step foot in the office. If you are researching banking options, do look at online options for better service!
