5 /5 cindy: Awesome is the 1st word to come to mind. From there I would say professional, many years of experience, and knowledgeable in the world of finance. In the past I have invested my money into different financial companies. After the initial investment I never heard from them again. Until of-course I transferred my money to Compass Financial. Only then after 30 plus years of investing they were calling me in an attempt to keep my investment. Since Ive gone with Compass Financial Ive heard from them at Christmas, received pies for Thanksgiving and received candy for retirement. Once youve invested with them They will most definitely invest in you! Most importantly Matt explains everything in such a way that you will understand what is happening with your investment! He is prompt to answer any questions you may have. One thing that I found very impressive is there was no pressure put on us to invest w him. We went to one of his seminars (delicious meal). He said right up front "my plan may or may not work for you" "let me see what you have and Ill let you know what I can do for you" final decision was ours...no pressure. Highly recommend!

5 /5 Lori Jermalowicz: Matt and his staff are always very helpful. They explain your options and make sure you understand what is expected. I converted money from an IRA to a Roth (second year) and my tax accountant was trying to add my 2020 contribution to my 2021 taxes when I had already paid taxes on the 2020. Matt and Ryan make sure you understand and I was confidently able to tell my accountant he was wrong with what he was doing. I went from paying $10,000 in taxes to getting a refund. Mind you, I got the owe $10,000 at 5:30 pm, immediately emailed Matt asking him to call me the next day. I missed his call at 8:30 that same night. I dont care what business it is, that very rarely happens. I would highly recommend them and the company. You become like family with them and they really care about their customers. I will continue to talk about the good experiences with Compass and continue to refer people to them.

1 /5 Kevin Skellenger: We attended one of the dinner seminars (nice dinner, thank you). We talked with two couples there. One couple was obviously a current customer as they were relating all the recent dinners they attended and how happy they were with their investments. We made an appointment for the following week. As we were running late, we called and left a message to that effect. After finally finding the office about ten minutes late, no one was there. We called the number on Matts card and got voicemail and left a message. Its now 4 days later and still no call back . Thank you for the call back today. However, my phone record does not match your response. We did confirm via phone on 1/26 our appointment on 1/30. Im sorry, you get one opportunity to make a first impression.

5 /5 Larry Ludwig: Compass Financial is an excellent financial planning service that you can believe in and trust! Matt and the entire team treat each and every member as if they were family. Compass Financial is much more than a business. They create that special family atmosphere with the care, concern, interest in every member. Anytime you need to discuss your finances with the team, they are ready and willing to drop everything to ensure you have full understanding and update of any issue you bring to them. They receive more than 5 stars in my book!

2 /5 Veronica Stevenson: I would not do it again!!! I took out seven year and ten year annuity accounts with Matt Balsbaugh, and I am now in my fourth year-- and regretting it! At first everything was fine. Matt was attentive and professional, and I could reach him when I needed assistance with my accounts. By now when my yearly reviews are due, my appointments are rescheduled or overlooked altogether. My phone calls are not answered, and I am left to try to figure out on my own why I am paying "lifetime rider fees" that I dont understand and wouldnt have agreed to if I had. Although I still get invitations in the mail, dinners that I was welcome to attend in the past (including birthday invitations from Matt) now seem to be limited to "new clients", and home appointments are no longer available as the "firm continues to grow". Although all of this is disappointing and disheartening, the bottom line is that in addition, neither of my contracts are making any money!
