Community Financial Credit Union - Northville (MI)

1 /5 Justin Nazaroff: I would warn anyone with a small business to strongly reconsider using this credit union. They wasted months of my time with an IT related problem they caused when they updated their systems, which resulted in me having to manually key in thousands of transactions that could not be exported into my accounting software. They will require you to produce everything short of your first born childs soul in order to issue a credit card with a $20,000 limit in the name of your business. Theres literally no business banking department at all. Its a joke. Credit unions are a great idea in theory, but this one has been absolutely awful. Ive been banking with them for almost ten years on the business side, 18 years on the personal side, and finally Im writing a review because Im so fed up I dont know what else to do except caution others against making the same mistake.

3 /5 S Jones: I have been going to the Plymouth location for over 10 years now. I stopped at this location to make a deposit while I was on break at work and I sat in the drive thru forever :( there were no other calls when I pulled up. I sent my deposit thru and sat and waited, I saw two girls talking to each other through the window, I looked at them wondering if they saw my deposit. The one girl just kept talking and talking. Then I see them both walk away. I hit the call button to see if anyone had seen me send my deposit. I know they saw me sitting in my car and just walked away :( finally one of the girls came back and apologized for the wait. I just don’t understand what was going on. If I were going through the drive thru at Plymouth with no one else in line this would have taken a few minutes. I was sitting there for probably a good 10 minutes just being ignored it was crazy! Not sure if I’ll come back to this location.

2 /5 Rachel Kacsmark: I’ve never had a bad experience and have been banking at CFCU for 10 years now but recently when I’ve been calling for questions and such, I’ve gotten some of the worst service I think I ever have gotten trying to do banking on the phone. I don’t live near a branch and have continued to invest my loyalty into this company but as of recently I’ve gotten more and more disappointed.

1 /5 Allison M: Terrible. I am a 20 year customer. My minors son account was transferred to the State with no notification. Both parents had bank accounts there, neither were contacted. I went to deposit money in my sons account and found out they transferred it. Individual was not helpful and was almost bothered with us. Did not apologize. Was not helpful!!!! I ended up closing all my accounts there including my other childs account which was not sent to the State. I understand regulations but at least help your customer figure out how to get their childs college fund back. Not just say go to this website and fill out a form. Train your managers on customer service.

5 /5 Connor Waldo: I generally have a really good experience. some of the stuff with community financial is a little bit odd in terms of their information systems, but I like the friendly and family oriented atmosphere. They are always helpful when it comes to getting a car loan as well. overall I think its good to have a credit union on your team and Im glad that I have community financial. I have been banking with them ever since I was 8. Thats over 20 years.
