2 /5 M T: Although the Novi branch is part of the local credit union network and services partner credit unions, Tricia at the Novi location refused to provide me with a Notary signature unless I paid for it. They offer this for free only to CFCU members. I then asked to open an account, but she said that I would need to make an appointment for that. After this experience, I find it difficult to see that I would want to open an account with Christian Financial CU. I could pay for this at a bank or other retail store. The expectation is that credit unions are supposed to be different, providing a sense of caring community and a higher level customer service. I would recommend a "policy" change on this issue. Offering this free as an act of "goodwill" to the community, would likely help your marketing to potentially add new customers. Something to consider.
