1 /5 Raven Boutte: Extremely Disappointed – Would Never Recommend This School to Anyone Starting College
SLCC has been one of the most frustrating and discouraging experiences of my academic life. As a beginner in college, I came in motivated and ready to learn—but the professors here make it nearly impossible to succeed. They do not focus on helping you truly understand the material. Instead, they obsess over the most irrelevant details in assignments that have nothing to do with comprehension or actual learning.
You can reach out to them for help over and over again and still get no support, no compassion, and no guidance. Its as if they expect you to fail. No matter how hard you try, how present you are, or how much effort you put in, it feels like youre set up to fall short. Their priorities are completely backward—they worry about format, page length, or minor technicalities instead of whether students are actually grasping the content.
If you’re new to college or looking for an institution that cares about your growth, do not go here. This school will drain your motivation and make you question your ability. The lack of support, compassion, and actual teaching is honestly heartbreaking. SLCC is the last place I’d recommend for anyone who wants a real chance at a good education.
