1 /5 Martha Stephens: UPDATE! The jewelry store called twice. I refuse to let them touch it again since they ruined it. I currently have it at a reputable Shreveport jewelry store that is making necessary repairs. As far as not voicing any concerns at the time to pick up... It was not shown to me but rather given to me in a bag. I asked what the size was and the lady told me three and a half and put it back in the bag. This was my daughters ring and she was going to use it as part of a wedding set. They ruined this ring. I have pictures of before and after and will try to get those posted. Drive the extra miles and go somewhere that knows what theyre doing. Was going to let them size a very valuable ring for me that was valuable and sentimental but not now. I will never walk into this jewelry store again and I hope others look somewhere else as well.
CUSTOMER BEWARE! STAY AWAY! Small jewelry store in a small town...what could go wrong? Well, I took my daughters ring in to them that was purchased at their store. The diamond setting was loose and asked for it to be cleaned. The ring went in as a size 4.25, came out a 3.5. They actually melted the gold and tried to reset the diamond with gold laying over it on the edges. They got that uneven. The space that was under the diamond is now gone. INSTEAD OF RESETTING THE DIAMOND, THEY PULLED THE GOLD OVER THE EDGES OF THE DIAMOND; THEREFORE, CHANGING THE SIZE ALMOST BY A WHOLE RING SIZE. The work was sloppy and they ruined her ring.
I will be taking this to another jeweler to have repaired. I will be going after this jeweler for reimbursement of repairs or replacement of the Ring. STAY AWAY FROM THIS JEWELER!
