Marion County Savings Bank - Salem (IL)

1 /5 Liam Robinson: Probably the most useless bank I have ever went to. Multiple times my card has locked on purchases like Amazon, Nintendo, PayPal, etc. A couple years ago I went to Florida and told them before just for my card to STILL lock up. I have always been able to explain my purchases and the staff will still talk to you ignorantly regardless of you explain it more than they know. Today I tried to close my account and couldn’t even though it was not negative. This is just another reason I cannot wait to leave, a pending charge was taken out of my OLD card I don’t even have anymore that was supposed to be disconnected. Still even then, with money in the account after that charge I cannot close it. My only wish is to finally leave this bank and it feels like a trap.

They’re rude, unhelpful, & will transfer you around to every rude person in the entire building & not a single one will be able to help you at all. They have a completely user unfriendly app that crashes & rarely works. I would give this place zero stars if i could. get a lawyer before you start doing business here.

1 /5 Krista Montana: Very poor customer service. They will literally laugh when you are having financial struggles. I would not recommend this bank. As customers, we deserve more than this bank offers as far as their poor customer service. You don’t have to settle. There’s more than one bank out there.

1 /5 Brooklyn Thompson: Have had a terrible experience from day one, but continued using them until recently. I came in and filled out the paperwork to close my account. A week later, I noticed it still wasn’t closed. I called they said it would be closed, and a week later I called again. She transferred me to one of the incredibly rude girls in the other building who said she would “let someone know” to close it and what do you know. Still hasn’t been closed.
