5 /5 Fallon: Diane Speir out in Murphysboro, IL is truly an amazing lawyer. I want to tell my story because I truly believe everyone should know how much she has done for me and my girls. I went through a domestic. A violent one. I was physically removed/dragged out of my house from my kids father and his parents. My ex went to jail and then my kids/fatherâs parents showed up. His father came through the window after me. His mother grabbed me and drug me the rest of the way out the door. I moved over 6 hours away back to family and where I grew up. To have support. To feel safe. Not be stalked, harassed, etc. At that time we were fighting my relocation. State law says you canât move farther then 50 miles from the other parent. I did not know that. I just wanted to be safe. Not only did Diane win my relocation. She stuck with me through this whole situation. It was not easy. It was hard on me and I know it was hard on her. My exâs lawyer was the ex states attorney in that county. It was a long drawn out battle. Diane helped me understand a lot through out my case. I went through land of Lincoln, which they transferred me to Diane. I went to court back in 2009 where I had one of their best top lawyers, Through the state which was my life saver at that time. He told me back in 2016 when I went for help, he would be transferring me to Diane if I would like. A private lawyer. He promised me she was really good. Iâm glad he did. She put me in my spot when I was wrong, she explained things to me where I wouldnât have understood. She stuck by me on everything even when situations got hard. She understood my distance and still worked with me. If I ever had to pick another lawyer from southern Illinois it would be Diane. As a relocation is hard to win. She accomplish it. That says a lot! Thereâs a lot to my situation, a Lot Diane had to deal with even from my exâs parents walking up to her in public to try to scare her. She still believed in me. Stayed by myside. Helped me learn where I need to give to settle our situation. Sheâs straight to the point. I was nervous at first. Bc my family case was so complex and was completely crazy. I didnât think she would believe me or would want to take it. Bc it was such a hard case. There was so much to my case. She handled it well. Iâve learned a lot from her. I love Diane. Sheâs truly been the best lawyer and a great mentor. I owe a lot to her. I canât explain every detail to my story on what she had to go through or on what degree she had to fight for me. To much. However, she won everything, of course I had to settle on back child support which wasnât a big deal to me as much as my relocation was. She did an amazing job, straight to the point and is fair. Sheâs a great lawyer! She gave me advice to help me throughout my life. She was truly a mentor and a great lawyer. I canât thank her enough for all that she has done for myself and my children. She deserves a 5 star all the way around. I wouldnât be where Iâm at today, if it wasnât for her! Thank you Diane, for helping me through such a hard time in my life. I owe you everything for helping me get past, a abusive family and helping me get the freedom not to have to be scared anymore! Not to Have to watch my back everywhere I go. You are truly the best!
