When we saw an ad for a workshop covering these topics at the Edwards Group, we quickly signed up to attend. It was one of the best things we have done. David addressed the issues we had been considering and brought up other topics we had not even thought of but most certainly needed to. His knowledge of elder topics and his ability to explain so easily quickly put us at ease. We knew we had come to the right place. We made an appointment to discuss our specific needs. We took care of the things right in front of us but always had that nagging thought that "someday" we really ought to do some what if planning. We really ought to get those POAs in place. We really ought to organize & document all of our accounts. We really should do some financial planning around trusts & estates. But we had jobs to take care of and kids to get through college. His wise consult and advice was excellent! Jennifer Hamann patiently also led us through the financial aspects of funding the living trust and answered all our questions. 5 /5 Glen VanderKloot: We had a simple will that was old and knew it was time to do something that would protect our wishes and our children. We went to the Wills and Trusts Workshop and knew what we currently had was insufficient and that we were at the right place to get it done. After our initial meeting with David, we began to understand the depth of what David and his staff were going to be able to do for us. He did not tell us what to do, but asked questions and listened to our answers and then proposed solutions to take care of things as we wished. He is patient, thoughtful and understanding. Now our trusts are in place and our desires for health care in our last days are spelled out in very precise terms. One of the greatest gifts he gave us was the idea of a disability panel of family, friends and clergy who will decide if it is time to stop driving, to give up the checkbook and move out of the house. This takes a lot of pressure and blame off the ‘well’ spouse. We would encourage everyone to go to one of the free workshops David offers, and you will know if the Edwards Group is right for you.
