1 /5 Sam McCaw: Beware of this Firm especially attorney Robert Porter. He was selected as a GAL in my custody case and could not have been more incompetent. Mr Porter ignored evidence and testimony from several parties showing extreme alcohol abuse and an inability to hold a job.
Within a week of awarding majority custody to my ex wife she showed up at my house heavily intoxicated wielding a butcher knife and was charged with a felony. She then attempted suicide with our minor child in her home. At the court hearing Mr Porter told the judge “I don’t know how we missed this” a funny statement considering he had plenty of video evidence and testimony about her mental state. After all of that I was able to become custodial parent without using any of Mr Porters services but he still took me back to court trying to collect fees for sitting in the back of the court room observing our hearings.
Beware of this firm. Mr Porter is not out to help anyone or seek what is best for children. He only operates to rack up hours and fatten his invoice. If the court suggests Mr Porter as a GAL do yourself and your family a favor and plead for another attorney.
