1 /5 Jenna Miller: I was with Allstate for 20 years. I insured 3 cars and my home. I have automatic withdraw (I say this to show they get my money on time every month). My son (a covered driver on my policy) had a small accident and my insurance payment went up over $200.00 a month. That $200/month would have paid for that accident more than once if I paid it for a year. I called and spoke with a woman, but didnt catch her name. After a brief conversation, it was decided that there was nothing that could be done. I was blunt and asked if the only way I could lower my payment was by getting a different insurance. The woman responded letting me know I wouldnt find cheaper because this small accident had happened. A week later, I traded in my 2013 sports car for a 2019, fully loaded, sports car. A week after that I got insurance through Geico. It was $300 less A MONTH than with Allstate even though I had a major upgrade to one car. Also, my son is still a covered driver.
I know that some of these issues are Allstate and not the Boyd agency, but when I went to cancel Allstate, the employee I spoke with didnt ask why, or if there was anything the Boyd agency could do to keep me. She got my name, stated I was cancelled, and hung up. 20 years...
