LGE Community Credit Union - Canton

Matthew Andrews The branch manager Shirley Rush is an amazing lady. I had called CS prior to showing up to inform them I had fraud on my card and needed to pick up a new card in branch. The CS didnt inform the canton branch I was rushing to get there after work and so I arrived at 5:03. The doors we locked and I seen Shirley at the door. She kindly asked me if I needed help and allowed me to come in even after closure to help me out as I had drived 40 minutes to get there. Shirley encouraged her team to help and they were extremely kind as if I showed up earlier that day. I will be forever grateful for her allowing me to still receive help when the CS agent couldnt do so. She also was exceptional the first time I enrolled in a new account. Thank you Shirley!

Alma Exchange Bank & Trust - Alma

Adam B This is Georgias greatest still-existing contribution to Googie architecture, a space-age, Jetsons-like, mid-century structure meant to catch the eye of passing motorists, which is nowadays very uncommon in the South and most of the country. There was a twin bank in Sylvester, Georgia that was demolished. The swirly structure (now Pineland Bank) dates from 1966 and has a plaque in front with its history. Among Googie artifacts, this is one of the more far flung, but worth a visit, say if you are driving from Atlanta or parts Northwest headed to the Golden Isles or Floridas eastern coastline.
