1 /5 Craig Golden: I have never been so frustrated in my entire life. Like many of the other reviews posted on Google, I can tell you the communication is horrible. I also feel like they increased the scope of my tax work and ran up a huge amount of hours without seeking my consultation or getting my approval. I am looking at paying almost $10k for an S Corp and a Personal Tax return which was over triple what I had paid with other accountants. Their responsiveness was so bad, I moved my account to another firm, had the returns filed in 3 weeks and paid less than $3k. Now, I have been trying for 8 weeks to settle my account and I cant get anyone to return my communications. If you are considering them - Keep looking. If I could give negative stars I would.

5 /5 Dru Duncan: My wife and I have been coming here for I think 4 years now and have work specifically with Ken Rogers. I absolutely love working with him. Extremely knowledgeable and is able to explain in layman terms. Honestly, what caused me to start coming here is I used to do mine and my wifes taxes with HR Block Free and paid for premium service, yadda yadda yadda. My wife and I had an issue one year, I sent the info over then at some point after that, I had a phone call with Ken. He told me (not verbatim) but that whoever did the taxes that year did them wrong. To which I responded "Um....I did them" and he stuck to it and said "well, you did them wrong", more or less! I cant tell you how much respect I have for someone like this. And every year for the last few years, he has sat with my wife and I and has answered every question weve had and has helped us tremendously with our taxes. If you want a CPA that will call you out but also take the time to explain why, come here and ask for Ken! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Do you want your taxes done right? Seriously come here!

1 /5 Jason G: I made a huge mistake picking Rogers & Rudisill to do my personal tax return, and I strongly encourage anyone who is reading this to look elsewhere for your tax service needs. They charged me $950 for what I considered to be mediocre service (more than 3x what I used to pay my last tax accountant who was much more professional, prompt, and able to submit my returns on time without filing extensions) and an experience filled with errors that cost me money. When I made my appointment they told me that individual returns start at $300 which seemed fine, but I never could have imagined they would charge me nearly a thousand bucks for a relatively straightforward return that just required a few additional forms that I have every year (dividends, capital gains, itemized deductions). They also didn’t file my return by the deadline. When I followed up to check on the status they told me they file extensions for all of their returns (but never bothered to tell me during my appointment). I followed up several times after that, and I always got excuses for why they hadn’t filed my return yet. I actually had thousands of dollars in refunds that I didn’t find out about until today even though my appointment was back in March. If they filed my return on time, I could have had that money in my pocket 7 months ago. It could have been earning interest this whole time or I could have invested the money. They literally cost me money by being too slow or unwilling to prioritize my return and file on time. And even worse, after they finally submitted my return they mistakenly double paid the IRS. They didnt note that I paid back in April, so they triggered another payment this month. Ridiculous oversight. No attention to detail. Put me in the hole for thousands of dollars with no apology from Robin (one of the partners who also happened to be the one who did my return). Huge mistake going with them. One I’ll never make again. I was ripped off. I definitely didn’t get anything close to the value that they charged me. It’s a mediocre firm offering poor service yet charging exorbitant amounts. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.

1 /5 Kyle Scheckenbach: I would not recommend the services or lack of services provided by Rogers and Rudisill to anyone I know. As a new small business owner with a single rental property I went Rogers and Rudisill to have my taxes done. Keep in mind I have no employees or payroll. This firm went above and beyond to maximize the amount of money they could bill me for. They charged me several times for bookkeeping which I had never hired them for. They were over a month late in returning my taxes to me. They billed me over $400 for my personal taxes and over $700 for my rental property. This seemed suspicious to me so I had another accountant look over the work they did. My suspicions were confirmed. Instead of filing my business taxes with a 1040 Schedule E to have everything flow through my 1040 they filed an unnecessary separate return in order to maximize their billable charges. After all this, they sent me another bill for $1200 for bookkeeping which was never discussed. I tried reaching out to Nathan Rudisill and Kenny Rogers several times via phone and email after I terminated any further business with their firm in June and received no response back. Yesterday one of their staff members sent me an email asking for the last 3 months documents to complete bookkeeping. I informed her I am no longer doing business with their firm and today got an email from Nathan Rudisill with the invoice of erroneous bookkeeping charges and an additional bill for June-August bookkeeping. A charge for work that was never done. All that to say avoid this place at all costs. They are dishonest, manipulative, and dont have your best interests at heart.
