1 /5 Ma Dan: The district attorney who did not file charges on the sheriff who recklessly left his gun in a Wendy’s is crooked and antithetical to a blind and just legal system. Showing every day their is a two-tiered legal system when in comes to protecting your own and the law as you apply it to citizens. You should be ashamed.

1 /5 Thomas Smith: They will not charge a Sheriff who left a loaded fire arm in a Wendys bathroom that got fired by a minor. They let the boys in blue off with no charges but if this was a civilian they would have been charged. You can clearly hear the district attorney claim in the body cam footage that the persons actions are fit for charges. Their opinion on the incident changed once they were told it was a Sheriff. So clearly being a cop allows you to commit reckless neglect and almost kill children with zero consequences.

1 /5 Michael Craig: Newton County in my up opinion is corrupt. Sit through hearings and public defender do not show you your discovery until the status hearing. They do this so you wont have time to think about your options. Asked many people and they all said the same. Lawyers outside Newton said they wont even work there. The Probabation is a joke. I was verbally attacked and was terrified. Was trying to get someone help and they refused to answer a single question. The man was paranoid and said he knew what I was up to. Was so scared I will never go back without an officer escort. The person I was trying to seek help in now sitting in detention for nearly six months without any help so far. She is also a elderly mentally disabled and has heart problem. She has had cancer and they refuse to do scope to see if it has come back. So needless to say she has suffered abuse from her stay there. Of course the judge Wynne seems to think his filling his west central is MORE important then her getting help. She had insurance and could have gotten immediate help. But it didnt fit in their scheme. So my suggestion to all is get out of newton county as quick as possible. You wont get fair representation. Someone should investigate them.

1 /5 Alexis Walker: Horrible is an understatement the people are rude and not helpful at all specifically the lady that answers the phone
