1 /5 Ashlei Matthews: Please, please, please heed this warning and do not hire Nicki Davis from this firm. I know some one who spent well over 25k on this attorney and lost, terribly. She is an amazing mother, has served her country well, and has a spotless record and ended up with bear minimum visitation: 1st, 3rd, and 5th weekend. I was there for the trial. Nickis opposing counsel mopped the floor with her. This was the closing argument from what could barely be audibly heard as Nicki literally leaned on the podium. "I guess weve seen this [insert evidence here] from my client and I guess [blah blah]." If the attorney sounds like they are unconvinced of their own closing argument, why would the judge be convinced? It was terrible. She did not -sound- like she -cared-, at all, if her client won custody. Hearing Nickis closing argument, I had no idea where all of these reviews were coming from. She was meek and timid, not passionate at all. There were several points in the closing argument of her ex husbands attorney that easily could have been argued had Nicki used the mountain of evidence provided to her. A perfect example is that the opposing attorney made the argument that the father was the primary custodian to take the children to the doctors when the mother had a print out of every single appointment, and she was there in the notes and the father was not. Nicki did not utilize the evidence, and she did not make the arguments. She did not prep her client for trial. After the trial, all that Nicki said was, "I told you there was a chance that this could happen." A callous and classless remark from a person that was trusted to fight for her babies. No one was expecting a friendly dinner afterward, but I saw how this attorney treated her like a pay check in literally the worst moment of her life. $25k+ and she met her client in person less than five times? How? Why didnt she advise her client differently? No, what she said was that in all the years shes been representing clients, seeing a mother get minimum visitation was rare. There were several recommendations that Nicki made that my sister followed and it cost her the case. Her communication was terrible, and she left my sister in anxiety. It is absolute fact that my sister would receive another bill before an email back. Than Nicki did things like lie and say "I never indicated so and so" when there was proof in the emails that she most certainly did. She didnt advise her client. I was sitting behind them in the court room praying that God would whisper in her ear to advise her client to take a different route when given the opportunity presented by the judge, and Nicki said nothing. Im being vague because I dont want my persons business all over the internet, but please, I beg you, do not trust this woman with representing you. Do not. This has been an absolute miscarriage of justice, and Nicki does not care. She really does not. In fact, my sister had to hear from her ex husband that the final papers were in. There was no phone call from Nicki, just a dry email from her assistant. Please, please trust some one else with the fate of your babies.
