1 /5 ashley hamwright: Let this be a warning to anyone considering Maxey Insurance: my recent experience with one of their male agents was so appalling that I feel compelled to share it in hopes of saving others from similar frustration and disrespect. While the female staff at their office have been adequate in the past, my encounter today was a stark reminder of the potential pitfalls of entrusting your insurance needs to this agency.
I called to reinstate a previously insured vehicle, providing the correct VIN (identical to their records and verified by my loan documents). This agent not only insisted I was wrong, couldnt locate my prior policy, but also spoke to me with utter disdain, curtly ordering me to "go look at my car." His accusatory tone, suggesting I was somehow being dishonest about my own vehicle, was insulting.
Even after adding the car and quoting the premium, there was no semblance of customer service. He demanded photos without any polite inquiry or confirmation. When I attempted to make a simple change to my deductibles, his dramatic and unprofessional outburst ("oh my lord sweet baby jesus ugggh") made me feel like I was an immense burden. He continued to argue about the VIN, dismissing my explanation and ultimately telling me he "didnt care."
The final nail in the coffin was his outright rudeness when I questioned his behavior and inquired about switching agents. His response? A dismissive "I dont care" followed by telling me to call Safeway myself since they already had my money. This is not how a reputable insurance agency treats its clients.
If you value respectful, competent, and helpful service, I strongly advise looking elsewhere for your insurance needs. My experience with this particular agent at Maxey Insurance was a complete nightmare and has irrevocably damaged my trust in their ability to provide even basic customer care. Dont risk this level of disrespect and incompetence – there are far better insurance providers who value your business.
