1 /5 Nikki Morelee: We didnt have a complicated case. Just a simple adoption so my wife could have parental rights and this attorney came recommended but I wouldnt recommend. The communication is absolutely terrible, if not non existent. It got to the point where I was having to chase them down, sending emails titled Follow up 1, Follow up 2 etc EVERYDAY... and calling everyday. They have a terrible habit of responding on Fridays at 4pm to make sure you wont get an answer before the weekend. What was told would be 3-6 months took over a year and all around just lack of organization. At one point I got an email with an update on my case and it said "your divorce should be finalized any day now" MY DIVORCE?! This is an adoption, so that just told me that they really dont care about your case. You will go months without hearing an update and when you get one, its far from any type of insight into your case. We never anticipated any problem from the courts so something that was so simple turned into a battle of communication and really what made this whole thing so stressful was this law firm because we never knew what was going on, what was taking so long, or where our case was in the process.
