4 /5 Martin Schmidt: Edit 8/9/2023: I received an email from Kicklighter Insurance about 1-week after being notified by Heritage Insurance with several new policy quotes. I am assuming they were doing their due diligence and getting new quotes before contacting me. However, some communication from Kicklighter Insurance prior to an email would have been helpful.

Went with Kicklighter Insurance when we were purchasing our home. They werent the cheapest, but they were local and we wanted to support a local agent and have an office in town...worst decision ever! From the beginning, Kicklighter Ins has been very poor at communicating anything with us and weve now received two letters from the corporate office (Heritage Ins) stating they would not be renewing our policy...first time we received a letter we never received a call or notice from Kicklighter Ins and we had to call them several times to resolve a very simple issue. This last time, same thing! Except this time Heritage Ins states they cant renew the policy because Kicklighter Ins and Heritage Ins are no longer affiliated. Again, Kicklighter Ins did not communicate this with us, even though they knew this information long before I received the notice from Heritage Insurance (Tampa, FL). Needless to say, I wouldnt recommend Kicklighter if they were the last insurance agency on earth!! There are plenty of options, do your due diligence and choose wisely.
