1 /5 Sydney Williams: This credit union is VERY discriminatory! Went to open an account last week, got approved with no issues. Seems as though 10 minutes after I left the bank I get a call saying “I put the wrong info in I put your name in backwards” on your account so you’ll just have to come back and get a new card. She takes my card says they have to wait until Monday to “verify” extra things, which I don’t know what else they would be needing to verify after running all of my information. I get a call Monday saying I was denied because of my Chex systems. Mind you that Friday when she “re ran” my right information in their system, I had an inquiry from a bank. Why am I getting denied after getting approved? I don’t have any other banks that would be on my credit, and since when do banks deny you over ONE inquiry? I’ve never came across this issue, my own uncle has this bank as well and has different bank accounts, so I’m not sure how he would be approved and I didn’t? I also have had 1 other bank in the past year, so why didn’t that come up? My name being backwards shouldn’t have anything to do with anything, you just didn’t want to give me an account! On top of that while I was enrolling, she was questioning things that had nothing to do with me applying for the bank account. I heard good things about this bank, but now that ive gone through this, I will be letting everyone know how discriminate this place is! I even called corporate and someone named Christie Beukler hung up on me after I advised them I will be filing a consumer report on them. The member advisor I worked with inside the branch is named Maria Johnson as well!
Side note: this all happened after I received my paper work with member information, pamphlets, etc. she wanted to deflect her mistake on me by not opening my account.
