1 /5 Tom Hickman: This agency employs what, in my personal opinion, are unethical and disgraceful tactics. They mail letters to your home with a range of property insurance coverages and premium quotes that appear to be based on facts they have about your home. This is clearly an attempt to make you feel the coverages and premiums are personalized to your home and your needs. The letter starts by suggesting, if you’re premium for home insurance is more than a certain amount, you’re probably a victim of an insurance carrier making drastic changes to your home insurance policies, including providing less coverage, issuing large rate increases, forcing higher deductibles, or worse, refusing to renew your policy. Of course, given the recent increases in prices we have all experienced with everything, this is designed to make you feel anger or fear that your company might be guilty of any of these practices. However, when I reached out to them, the premium they quoted me was not only far more than the range of premiums suggested in the letter, the amount was actually double what I was currently paying. Furthermore, the automobile insurance quotes they provided were not only $100 per month more than what I’m currently paying, they were not even from Farmers Insurance, but from two third party companies. If you want my advice, don’t waste your time with this agency.
UPDATE 07-18-2025: The home & auto quotes referred to in the above review, were based on a telephone interview occurring with this agency on June 26, 2025, and an email quote I received from the agency the same day. After reviewing the quote emailed to me, I called the agent back on the same day (June 26) and communicated to the agent that the quoted premium amounts were too high, that I was not interested in applying for insurance, and to remove me from their mailing list. Now, three weeks later (July 18, 2025), I have received a letter from this agency entitled "Important Information Regarding Your Application for Coverage" and indicating they had processed a request from me for their "Fire Insurance Program" and that my request had been rejected. First of all, I have had no communication with anyone from this agency since I rejected their home & auto quotes on June 26, yet this letter I received from them indicates it was prepared for me on July 11, 2025 and rejected on July 15, 2025. This is clearly an attempt to disparage my poor review of this agency. Not only did I NOT authorize this agency to apply for ANY type of insurance on my behalf, I specifically asked to be removed from any future mailing lists. Furthermore, the actions of this agency are not only a likely violation of my consumer protection rights, but also of the regulations insurance commissioners are sworn to monitor and uphold. For that reason, I will communicate the entirety of my experience with this agency to the insurance commissioner for the state of Georgia, as well as my attorney. Finally, if I could change my one star review to a zero, I would do it in a heart beat. As I stated in my initial review of this agency, I strongly advise you to avoid this agency!
