1 /5 Jacob Joiner: I recently shopped around for motorcycle insurance because USAA doesn’t offer motorcycle insurance. The cost was ok and initial impressions were great. A month into my coverage from State Farm, I received a letter in the mail stating that my coverage will be dropped due to inadequate documentation. They needed my wife’s information. I never received an email or phone call to update this prior to the revocation of my policy. My wife cannot ride my motorcycle nor does she have a motorcycle license and I would have (eventually did) provide the information to the representative. Once I provided the information, I received a text that said thanks and nothing else. No documentation was provided that let me know if my policy was good or not. I then received a check in the mail a few days later and when questioning representatives, no one seems to know the status. My insurance gets revoked on June 12th. I feel that it is my responsibility to let others know this prior to making their decision to give State Farm their business. Their lack of training, incompetent employees, and use of outdated technology led to these issues. If they allow this to happen, imagine what would happen if you were to file a claim. Hopefully this helps someone.
