Tony Rangel I highly recommend this pawn shop! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. They offer fair prices whether youre buying, selling, or pawning. The store is clean and well-organized, and they have a great selection of items. Its clear they care about their customers and run their business with integrity. Definitely one of the best pawn shops around!

Elizabeth Scruggs I didnt visit the one store in St. Simons Island but I visited the website after reading a wonderful book called Gogo. If you arent familiar she is an artist that grew up on Cumberland Island and takes her jewelry inspiration from nature. Her grandmother was Lucy Ferguson (Gogos last name also) who was a Carnegie. There is an amazing history between those two also but thats another story. Her jewelry is known world wide and is very unusual and expensive. There are a few things that are semi affordable. I own a pair of trumpet flower earrings. If you get the chance read the book. Ours came from the Atlanta Arts Museum at an exibition she did there. Look the store up and shop. Until you know the history its hard to appreciate but Im sure you can find the history online somewhere.

Pat Monroe I brought a coin I had from the shipwreck of the Spanish galleon, El Cazador that sunk off the coast of Louisiana in 1784. It was set in a bracelet that broke and decided that I would like it to be able to wear it on a necklace. I also had some loose rubies and diamonds. LaRo Jewelers were able to create a beautiful pendant to hang on a necklace. The craftsmanship and expertise created this beautiful piece. I am over the moon! It looks so special. And I can also wear it with a silver necklace!

Scott Andrews One of my favorite of all antique and thrifts in Pine Mountain Georgia. We love coming in and walking around and seeing all the eclectic items. If we could make one change, it would be to lower some of the prices. The prices seem to be some of the highest in town. Don’t let that keep you from shopping and finding something you like though.

Wendy Turner I went to Abby in May of 2025 to ask her to create a custom piece for a ring I had lost. While we ultimately decided not to "remake" the same ring, we came up with a new idea based on some of Abbys current stock. She made my custom sterling silver ring within 2 weeks! She communicated with me during the design process and the purchasing and picking up process was smooth. I am sure that I will be coming back next time I feel like getting a unique, one of a kind piece of jewelry!

From the moment I walked in, a certain associate, a long-time employee there, made me feel unwelcome. His hostile demeanor and reluctance to work with me on a loan for my two items were immediately off-putting. It felt less like he was there to help the community and more like he was trained to low-ball every offer. I tried to provide receipts for my items, but he dismissed them. Instead, he pulled up prices from a commercial website that seemed to be a wholesale site for businesses, not what a regular consumer would pay on Best Buys public website. I knew then that arguing would be futile; Ive encountered that kind of animosity before, and it never leads anywhere productive. A Crucial Tip for Your Wallet Heres the most important takeaway: Pawnopoly charges a 25% interest rate to get your items back. Compare that to Eagle Pawn, which charges a more reasonable 12-15%, and Silver Dollar, which is 15-18%. Youll save yourself time, money, and frustration by heading to one of the others. Eagle Pawn is conveniently located just down the road, and Silver Dollar is in Alpharetta. Why Choose Elsewhere? My experience suggests Pawnopoly, being a franchise, might prioritize leveraging its assets over fair dealings. In contrast, Eagle Pawn and Silver Dollar are family-owned and operated by genuinely good people. Good luck, and I hope this helps you find a better pawn shop experience!
