5 /5 Austin Brown: Mr. and Mrs. Wallace both were hands down exactly what my wife and I needed in our custody case for our son. After a few weeks of calling attorneys, I knew within the first 10 minutes of talking to Mr. Wallace that he is who I wanted to hire. Thankfully, I was right. He and his wife are intelligent, professional, and connected in the judicial system. Not only were we able to afford the very reasonable price but they handled our case better than any of the attorneys who would of charged us an arm and a leg. 1 /5 Coco Janeiro: Looks like they’ve cleaned up the reviews because when I looked a couple of months ago there were many many bad reviews, and now majority seems 5 stars? Well, I’m not going to say anything that will have mine flagged so mine should stay up. Anyway, my review on Dennis Law Firm is that they are by far the worst attorneys we’ve ever had in Charlotte county. My husband hired Dennis after a recommendation from another lawyer (we needed a family court lawyer this time) and wow we should’ve really looked into him before just handing over our money (which he required to even consider our case.) This office is a complete joke.. they never once (literally NOT EVEN ONE TIME) reached out to my husband first, he had to call or email them first EVERY SINGLE TIME to ask for updates on his case. Our case took 9 months, so for 9 months Dennis or an assistant didn’t reach out to us unless we prompted the interaction. They always had an excuse that never seemed sincere (A LOT of vacations). That’s frustrating but not even the start of the issues. While waiting for our court hearings Dennis never even really cared to hear our case out, anytime my husband wanted to explain why he even needed a lawyer Dennis acted like he had no time. He didn’t even hear our case until the morning before court. How do you prepare for a hearing when you know nothing? I could have made a better case! Family court is different than criminal court, there’s a lot of unspoken regulations on how they handle situations but in our case the other parent abandoned the child for a year and they were not fighting back for custody, so it was pretty easy to represent my husband… And we still left the case feeling upset with the results (we didn’t get full legal custody, Dennis just agreed with everything the magistrate said - never tried to fight for us). I would really look elsewhere for another family lawyer in Charlotte county. I would never ever do business with Wallace law firm again, and if any friends or family need a family lawyer I would have them steer clear of this one.

Kathryn is the first attorney that I can honestly say has great integrity! She goes beyond the normal for her clients, and truly cares about each case! 1 /5 Jordan Janeiro: Was referred by Powell Law firm so I didn’t bother to look up Wallace Law firm as I had a great experience with Powell Law. But I hired Dennis Wallace he required full payment up front once he’s paid he does not communicate with his clients. I had to constantly email and call to get any updates on my custody case which would have been a slam dunk case even for a junior lawyer. It was always an excuse either he was sick or on vacation ect. My ex moved out of state December 2022 and I was still getting charged child support as well as getting double charged for close to a year his sense of urgency if any showed me he could give a sh!t less. I started with firm in March of 2023 and it took until December 2023 to be finalized. So at the end I didn’t even get full custody or arrears for a year he bows down to Magistrate definitely does not fight for you at all. I got parental decision making, all the money I paid he let the court just credit it which means I don’t see any of the money I paid while mom was living in other state while I had my daughter for a year. Strongly recommend doing research before hiring family law firm and would NOT ever recommend Dennis Wallace to anyone. My co worker used him as well and had same experience years prior. Very dissatisfied and now have to pay a competent law firm to re look at the whole case and hopefully reverse all the losing he did. Would rate 0 stars if possible.
