1 /5 Erika. T: I closed my account with Truist and they proceeded to give me my money and close my account. 3 days later they did a reversal and took all my money from my new bank account. I called customer service and the man was no help, I had to repeat myself to him 5 times explaining what happened, asked for his manager and he would just stay quiet on the phone and then would say “I’m sorry for the inconvenience ma’am, can you explain again what happened?.” He did this until I finally got frustrated and hung up on him, then I contacted the branch manager who helped me close my account via email and he said that it’s impossible they did a reversal since he had closed my account and gave me my money, which I said exactly my point!!!. But all he did was tell me to speak to my new bank, which I did and they have nothing to do with that. I then went in person to speak to the branch manager and he LITERALLY changed the story on me like 10 times as to what happened and why the reversal was done, to which I told him I can’t believe he is changing his story which I’m sure it’s to cover his butt. Long story short, I got NO HELP AT ALL!!!!. These people took my money, money I needed to buy my children school supplies. I am beside myself and can’t believe such a big bank would take money that doesn’t belong to them, deny it when there is clear evidence and do NOTHING about it!!!. Everyone be careful with this bank!!!!.
