1 /5 Fantasmic Ghiani: I worked with Ken to obtain the actual insurance for the property and send money for enrollment. He was very efficient, knowledgeable, and helpful during the sign-up process. However, when it came to canceling the insurance and receiving the refund, it took over two months, and I am still waiting for my refund check to arrive.
The process of receiving the refund and getting my money back felt unnecessarily complex. At times, my emails went unanswered for a week or more. The time it took to receive my refund certainly exceeded Florida law, and I ultimately had to call Ken directly after being told the check had been sent—without any tracking number or confirmation.
They sent my refund check via regular mail, which typically takes 4–5 days (if not less), but I was told it could take 1–2 weeks. This made me question the reliability of how refunds were handled. After waiting 2–3 months for the money I am legally entitled to under Florida law, I felt the process was not handled responsibly.
Beware of this issue when choosing an insurance provider. Some companies may not prioritize refunds, but it is the law.
