Before hiring any divorce attorney, it’s important to go in with reasonable expectations, which is something I learned along the way. One key takeaway: trust your attorney. Don’t overcommunicate. Your attorney has other clients, and what feels like a crisis (a level 8 or 9 to you) might be more like a 4 from their legal perspective. That’s not a bad thing-it means they know how to keep things in perspective. Being organized and clear with your communication helps everything go more smoothly and keeps your bill from ballooning unnecessarily. Stephanie and her team at Silverman and Mack are genuinely good people. I’m grateful for their guidance and steady support through a difficult divorce. Stephanie proved herself time and time again, not just in how she handled the case strategically, but in how much she cared.
