1 /5 Kiara Smith: I’ve been a loyal customer of Porter Financial for years and have even referred several people to their office. Unfortunately, my recent experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. A mistake was made on their end, and when I called in to have it corrected, I was met with disrespect from Mrs. Linda. During the call, she referred to me as a “little girl” and was very dismissive.
I decided to come into the office to speak directly with Mr. Porter, whom I’ve always trusted and done business with. However, while I was there, Mrs. Linda continued speaking about me loudly and made sarcastic comments like “anyways” while I was trying to express my concerns. The situation escalated to the point where they threatened to remove me from the office, though the police were never called—this all because I simply asked them to fix a mistake they made.
What hurt the most is that Mr. Porter, someone who knows me well and has handled my taxes for years, did not step in to make things right. It’s unfortunate to see a business I once trusted allow such unprofessional behavior, especially in a field where accuracy and respect are critical. I will not be returning, and I can no longer recommend this office to anyone.
