1 /5 Amber S.: The amount of casual incompetence I experience at midflorida always astounds me but today is worth a review. I pull up to the driveway thru to make a payment. When completed at the South MCU location, it’s a five minute interaction. This time the teller insists my drivers license isn’t on file and demands my current prior to proceeding.
1) I’ve had this loan less than a year and provided it during the application. There have been no changes to my ID since then, and by law you cannot get a loan without ID verification. So they definitely have it on file.
2) it’s a payment. Some Good Samaritan off the street can pay someone else’s loan without the loan holders ID.
Edit: The payment I made included the original coupon and the loan number on the check. Also, I had an actively screaming toddler in the backseat.
It’s just nonsense like this, that happens over and over in a truly inventive amount of ways, that has convinced me to never ever open an account or get another loan from MCU. It’s not worth the .5% savings, I promise.
