2 /5 Feliz Gluck: Last week I was told by Joanna that I was approved but I would have to come to the office for them to see the car. At first I said no since I live far but on Friday I called saying I’m able to stop by on Monday. When I called on Friday Joanna said since they close your case please call back on Monday for us to reopen. I called on Monday told her the time I was coming and she said ok I will have everything ready and the process should take 30 mins. I came in and I waited 20 mins for her and she didn’t had anything ready for me. Working on it while I was there. Waited another 20 mins and then I went up to her and told her how much longer since I was out all day wanted to get home. Joanna told me it will take longer because I didn’t bring in my documents and after she pulls everything the paperwork has to be approved. I told her you never told me that. You told me to come and the process would take 30 mins. All she told me that I can come back tomorrow. I was so mad I waisted 40 mins of my time Not working with them again

5 /5 Dingle Berry: From my first experience with Mariner via a “live” mail check, and my subsequent interaction with them - I’ve been completely satisfied. Joanna is extremely good at what she does, as she guided this dufus (me) through a loan refi over the phone. Good follow up from branch manager to ensure everything went smooth. App is convenient and fairly easy to navigate.

1 /5 Jeff Taylor: I was very disappointed in the service provided by Mariner Finance. I was approved for a loan over the phone after giving all my information and was invited into the office to sign off on all the paperwork. After spending over 45 minutes in an empty office, my agent took my ID and banking info then we headed out to my vehicle to take multiple pictures for collateral in case I default on the loan. After an hour of not signing any paperwork, I had to get back to work so I rescheduled an appointment for the following day. I get a call the next day to tell me I havent been approved due to under writing requirements??? As an agent, dont you think you would know the underwriting requirements and approval rating before inviting me in to sign the paperwork and waste an hour of my time?

1 /5 Amy Robbins: I have been with Mariner for several years with a pretty decent history and really thought they were a decent company. Well…. I ran into issues recently and called them for payment assistance for only 1 payment… not! So even though I told them I have no funds due to a medical emergency. They did not care. They did a “ deferment recorded call, I was so grateful. I get 2 back to back calls I must call them immediately this was after they told me it was approved on the so called recorded line ( keep in mind my payment is 1 day past due) I call back and was told ooops we will not defer a payment unless you pay us the interest for the month!! So that was 50% of my payment. They could care less and were very very cold about the entire process and make you feel horrible for asking for help her name was Marissa and was being coached by a manager in the background which was quite unprofessional and you could hear the coldness in his voice . If you are thinking about using them read this review carefully because if you need help, they will NOT be with you or care. Terrible service and left me in tears. Try Avant they are awesome or try lending point or net credit , I refer to both and nothing but positive. I have referred so many to this company not knowing how they handle a customer in trouble due to medical. Look elsewhere shame on you Mariner!! Grow a heart. I certainly hope if you ever find yourself in a bad temporary financial situation you also get the displeasure of dealing with a company just like yourselves!

1 /5 Badra Nanayakkara: I had a very bad experience with Joanna in the Bradenton Office. She has no customer skills at all. She is rude, not helpful and difficult to deal with. I have been doing business with Mariner for the last 10 years and this is the first time I have encountered such poor service. I will not be dealing with Mariner again. This is not the way to treat customers.
