I later found out that this oversight was due to an agent who is no longer with the company. However, even after discovering this error, I received no response to my calls, emails, or multiple voicemails asking for assistance, despite it being their mistake.
As a result, I was uninsured for several months during hurricane season, and when I finally had to switch providers, the lapse caused my premium to more than double, costing me over $1,200. I understand the office was going through a transition, but the lack of communication and accountability left me disappointed and with significant financial consequences.
If you value responsiveness and reliability in a provider, I’d suggest considering other options.
