1 /5 Laura Turley: Going downhill with each passing year. No longer the customer-centered institution of 20 years ago. Ex: It takes WAY too long to get someone on the phone, then, they tell you to go to the branch to open/close an account (what?!?), then, they wont give you a phone number to that branch - they flat out refuse to give out phone numbers to their branch offices, which is absurd and insulting. To add salt to the ever-increasing wounds, they are now charging $12/month for businesses who dont have scads of money in their accounts, so as a small business owner, they actually chose to add MORE charges in an already dismal economy in the middle of summer in Florida where most small businesses are already suffering, and their policy is no refunds EVER. In other words - WE DONT CARE ONE IOTA ABOUT OUR SMALL, LOCAL BUSINESSES.
I couldnt be more disgusted with what GTE has become; theyve become Bank of America. :-(
