We listened to his presentation with skepticism, thinking he was just another salesmen trying to sell his investment products. When our son decided he wanted to buy our home, we decided to interview potential retirement planners to discuss how we should structure this sale. We included Estate & Retirements Resources. Michael Riley came to our home, listened to our needs and provided a quote for his firm’s review and recommendations. We decided to hire his firm. To our surprise, he personally handled our account. Bottom line, he delivered a plan that met all our needs, eliminating potential future taxes and fees which will save us thousands of dollars in the future. In addition, he proposed clarifications to our Durable Power of Attorney and Health Care Surrogate documents reducing the possibility of a future conflict between our two children. He has excellent support staff, and we never had to talk to a tape recorder. He and his staff provided answers to all our questions without delay, sometimes with Michael Riley calling after hours providing us with answers so we did not have to wait. I went in a couple of weeks ago, confused and uneducated, as to what I needed to do with my finances in order to, hopefully, maximize my retirement requirements and just manage my expenses properly in order to achieve my goals. I met with Michael Riley and Brian Wakefield 2 weeks later and they had customized a plan for my “unique” needs and situation and we discussed candidly where I was going right and where I needed to change things.
