Im beginning to love south state as a bank and learning to work through the quirks. Helpful employees like this is what the bank needs. Carl Victor Over the years, I have handled our investments, selecting investments in companies that I have dealt with, knowing that we would receive stock splits and have significant gains. Unfortunately, that was many years ago and over our 50 years of investing we built, to our needs, a portfolio which was too susceptible to market fluctuations. Some years ago, we met Matt who reorganized our portfolio to account for those variances in the market and we are exceptionally satisfied with his outstanding understanding of how our investments are affected by market performance and taxes. Surprisingly, this year we had a tax return, not much, but better than giving the Fed our money.
