1 /5 Thea Drake: STAY CLEAR of Valerie Logsdon, Elderlaw Attorney in Grass Valley, CA!!! Ms. Logsdon is refusing to provide my dad with a copy of the Trust she was hired to update. She has also interjected herself into a family disagreement without knowing the history, any of the details or the parties involved. For the last 10 months my dad was living with my sister in California. Dad lived in a garden shed in the backyard which was converted to a bedroom without electricity or a bathroom. Dad, who has health issues, had to walk 25 yards from his shed, through a backyard and into my sisters house to use the toilet.
Dad came to visit my husband and in Washington state where he stayed in our guestroom and had his own bathroom. As soon as dad arrived at our house he asked to move in with us. When I tried to discuss the issue with my sister, who is his POA/Trustee she exploded and instated herself as trustee, even though my dad is not incapacitated or deemed incompetent. While dealing with this conflict with my sister, Valerie Logsdon demanded I return my dad to California. There is now an Adult Protective Services investigation to protect my dad.
Valerie Logsdon has been asked to provide my dad with a copy of his trust several times since June 2025. Ms. Logsdon has not provided us with the document. Dad is the client of Ms. Logsdon, yet she will not provide us with a copy of his trust which he hired her to create. At this point we had to hire another lawyer to request a copy of dads trust from Valerie Logsdon and she still has not provided a copy of the document. Dad has is a vulnerable adult. This is how Valerie Logsdon treats her clients! Learn from our experience and stay clear of this nightmare of a lawyer.
