Allied Insurance had been my insurance carrier for many years - until 2022 when I received an immediate cancellation letter informing me that they were no longer covering properties in California. My agent was of no help, stating that she knew of no company to recommend for my specific property location. In distress, I called my next-door neighbor for help and he recommended his agent, Mark Newman-Kuzel, as he had provided coverage under the Cal Fair Plan and Farmers Insurance for his property. I called Mark, and he immediately made me feel that he would take care of me. He set off a fire storm of calls between me and his company, early and late in the day, and before the week was out, i had complete fire coverage for my home with the Cal Plan and Farmers Insurance for all other coverages.
