5 /5 maritza romero: Currently dealing with DCFS, thank you to Mr. Shaw and his firm for taking my case and guiding me through this year long case. Today, Mr. Shaw fought against DCFS and argued for my son to be returned to my care and succeeded. DCFS requested the court to add an additional three months to monitor overnight visits with my son, which have been happening for a month now. There were no safety concerns reported during the ongoing case and both parents took accountability and made progress with court order classes , so Mr. Shaw professionally and lawfully objected and handled it perfectly well. I’m very happy with the results. Follow Mr. Shaw’s advice and his guidance and you will have the best outcome. He is very smart and a great lawyer and will only want the best for you. He is upfront and will for the most part have all the answers to your questions. I am in a much better place today than I was when my son was taken away and put into the foster system. It’s a long process but Mr. Shaw has been there through every step of the way. Communication is key and having as much knowledge for your case is key and he can provide it. Ask all the questions you can think of big or small, he is there to be on the same page with you. It is not an easy case to deal with as it regards to domestic violence reported from police and mental health both with strong evidence/witnesses, but overall Mr. Shaw has put me in a position to live with my son again after 8 months of separation. Although my case is still open I’m on the right path to closing it thanks to Mr. Shaw. I only wish I would’ve called sooner… my advice to parents out there dealing with something similar is to hire Walter Shaw as soon as DCFS comes knocking to your door… so much can be prevented if the right lawyer is by your side. 5/5 stars. Thank you Walter again for guiding me through this difficult path and letting me know how it is and what to expect and how to walk through it.
