1 /5 Grey: I strongly advise against using Progressive for car insurance. My experience following a hit-and-run accident has been nothing but frustrating and disheartening. It has now been over a month, and I have received little to no support from my claim advisor, with almost no communication throughout the process. Instead of assisting me, Progressive’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU), specifically Alex, has made this experience even more distressing.
Rather than helping me recover from the accident, Alex has been invasive—contacting my landlord, reaching out to my friends, and even requesting my phone logs, which feels completely excessive and intrusive. Instead of supporting their customers, Progressive seems more focused on finding ways to shift blame and avoid responsibility.
Insurance companies are supposed to be there when you need them, but Progressive has only made this process more difficult. If you value fair treatment, transparency, and actual support after an accident, I strongly recommend choosing another provider. I will continue to warn others about my experience with Progressive for as long as I can.
