1 /5 Cynthia Escott: Also read the yelp reviews. Run! Do not hire Power Law / Stacie Power. Takes your money and doesn’t do her job. Lies and is dishonest. She took $2500.00 retainer. Wouldn’t respond to the other parties attorney or myself. I had to hire another attorney. I requested my retainer fee to be returned and she refused. Update to her response: I have a city inspection that stated the house was falling down also had professional mold inspections done that stated the mold was toxic. You can use the whatever excuse you want to use why you choose to not do your job. Please whoever is thinking of hiring Stacie Powers , she is eager to take a retainer but doesn’t do her job. It’s odd you state you were working on my behalf when the other attorney in this case was complaining you were not responding to her. You definitely were not responding to me.

1 /5 Derek Wagner: Originally hired Stacie to handle an eviction for me. After the eviction I hired her to do the property management for the house. I do not recommend her for either of these services. She will lie to you about anything and everything. Her maintenance people charged me thousands of dollars for work that was never completed. They will create issues then charge you you fix them. As for the eviction, she never filled the proper paperwork so the judgement was never granted in my favor. Costing me another few thousand dollars. Stacie is the lowest scum of the attorney pool in Chico. Avoid at all cost

1 /5 Accounting Office: If my misfortunes can help one person, please do not hire Stacie Power for anything. We were her client for over 3+ years trying to get a deed for a property we owned outright. I left message after message, she never called back. When someone did answer, I felt like I was trying to win tickets on the radio, I would be so excited and get some story of where we were in the process, which was exactly where we were months ago. I was constantly told misinformation. We allowed ample time for things to be processed, but never received updates unless I called, and again the news wasnt anything new from the last time I called. Very frustrating. I started to have to call every month just to stay on top of them. We were fine as long as there was progress, because these things take time. Since I needed the deed to my property that I had owned out right, I had to make it my mission to make this happen. Stacie, whose responsibility it is to finish the task she was hired for, was no help. Finally we received a letter that they couldnt do anything more. Again after 3 years, they just dumped the case on us, the client. So unprofessional. I wrote Stacie 2 emails, spaced with in a week apart since I hadnt heard back from her and she wrote back to me, that she had received my numerous emails. Numerous=2 emails? Then why not call your clients back who just want a simple update and then I wouldnt have to bother you with 2 emails. Please stay away, hire anyone else than her! If Stacie writes back that this is fraud, she is the one lying. My story is true and it was a nightmare dealing with or the lack of dealing with her for over 3+ years. Updated 1:51 12/9/20 Whoa, if I would have seen that timely of a response and effort in the time she was working on our transaction, it might have actually been successful. I was never unprofessional with your staff, even though they just kept saying it was in the works, when there had been actually no progress. Fact: I received 1 email saying they would be keeping us up to date on the process only to never receive another one. Thats why I had to make a note to call every month, because they never updated us. So much time would go by, I would actually forget about it and say I should probably reach out. This is true! I have receipts. You may be a lawyer, but I am real person who you didnt help.

Besides our friendship, professionally Stacie is such a dedicated lawyer that devotes her time to her clients with compassion and hard work! She’s a very respected lawyer locally along with other cities in California. I personally would highly recommend her ! She’ll definitely get the job done leaving you more than satisfied.

At the last minute, she took my complicated case, with a mountain of confusing paperwork, and was able to quickly focus on what was important and form a strategy. She is kind, compassionate and patient, even when she had to explain things to me over and over againd due to my extreme anxiety. She is not only a great lawyer,: she embodies her name and is a powerful force in court.
