A few things about her: 1. calm and patient demeanor, 2. very professional, 3. very smart, 4. very honest (probably not many lawyers would be characterized this way!), 5. very persistent in achieving the goal. Alanna illustrated her professionalism in three key areas; she was focused on our case, her calm demeanor settled our nerves and she was a straight shooter. Going to court is a nerve wracking and emotional experience. Alanna’s calm and patient demeanor helped us deal with all the different decisions we faced during the process. Alanna’s actions and behavior demonstrated that she had our best interest as her sole focus during our meetings. She was able to explain the process, possible outcomes, and rulings in an easy to understand way. Which meant we understood when the judge and opposing attorney started speaking in legal jargon (most of the time). It helped us feel less intimidated by the process and showed us that she was well prepared for our hearings. Alanna showed that she had a great deal of experience by explaining what the other attorney was probably going to request, how she would respond and the most likely outcomes both positive and negative so that we understood her strategy.
