1 /5 Ryan Kata: Editing: 3yrs later and I got a bill for $970 from the DMV because they think I still own this bike, even though I was told the attorneys would handle transfer of title and all that. I cant get anyone on the phone and the attorney apparently handling the transfer (from another law firm I assume was contracted to do the part) told me he wasnt at liberty to discuss this and hung up on me. dont use these clowns.
MFS legal is a law firm you should avoid at all costs. I went to them for help with a lemon law on a motorcycle. I was advised that this would take 4-6 months. It took a year. The staff that I dealt with was so incompetent that they were sending me emails and texts asking for documentation from other clients. At every turn this team dropped the ball. I was told information that I then based decisions on that was flat out wrong, resulting in money out of my pocket.
They let my 30 day pay off letters lapse several times resulting in a huge delay. At one point I asked if they had received these documents and it was sitting on their fax machine for 7 days with no action, while they were repeatedly calling me for updates on that very document.
After finally being able to turn in my motorcycle, an appointment that the manufacturer had to reach out to me directly because this team was nowhere to be found. (Here is what the manufacturer said "after trying several times to get in touch with your attorneys, we decided to try and reach out directly"). The MFS legal team nearly let an error in accounting cost me $7000. Luckily I was paying attention.
After all this, they still collected their money, and informed me that they did their job. On paper, the job was done, but not without 6 extra months of stress and money lost on my part. In hindsight, I shouldve just kept the bike, since it was less of a headache than this nightmare.
The only reason they get 2 stars is there was one individual that stepped in in the last week of this running joke, that actually did help.
If youre in a situation where you need legal advice, avoid this law firm.
