My divorce was a particularly complex situation - 3.5 years complex. This is a public review so I will not go into details except to say that not all divorce attorneys play fair with regard to issues related to children. She never tried to leverage the children for financial gain which is the true hallmark of an excellent divorce attorney who actually cares about the people involved.

However, after being struck by a car as a pedestrian while walking across a crosswalk with the right of way, sustaining major injuries and requiring ambulance transport to Kaiser emergency, I expected a fair offer from the drivers insurance company afterwards. Instead, they provided an insultingly lowball offer barely above the cost of medical expenses, and after a short period it became clear that negotiating with them on my own was impossible.
