Mechanics Bank - Hilltop Branch - Richmond

Lilian Gerch Awesome customer service. Customer service representative was very knowledgeable, courteous, quick, and efficient. The branch was neat. At the time I entered the premises, I first filled out the transaction form which was provided on the table for the customers and then I went to wait in line where there was only one person ahead of me. As soon as one of the Customer Service Representatives became available, she called the customer who was ahead of me. So, I only waited a couple of minutes total in line when the next Customer Service Representative became available and greeted me. He was very polite and utterly professional. I have been at this Hilltop Branch a few times, and each time, Ive experienced the same excellent customer service. Ive not checked if they have a drive-thru, but they have made ATMs available for their customers. One can park for free in their parking lot. There is wheelchair accessibility. It is located by a movie theatre, I Hop, and several car dealerships. Its also near the freeway, which makes it very convenient, especially for travelers. It is also close to the Pinole shopping center, close to Round Table Pizza, In-N-Out, and a lot of other stores. Just remember that if you fill out the transaction form correctly provided for you before standing in line, in the long run, it will benefit everyone because the Customer Service Representative will check the form instead of filling it out himself/herself saving time which will prevent long lines.

Kavkaz Op Thank you to Grandview for helping me throughout the whole process. My car loan was handled professionally and with care—I appreciate THEM for taking MY business (since I am the one who needs them—not vice versa). I was walked through the whole process and dealt with reasonable people over the phone every time I called. I am grateful that a company was willing to help me in my situation. We are in the spot we are because of our own actions, anybody who is writing bad reviews thinks the world owes them something for doing nothing. If you’re responsible enough to MAKE A PAYMENT you wont have any problems with them or otherwise. They dont “harass” you for any reason and are actually more “fair” than any other finance company I’ve dealt with. They do outstanding work—start to finish!

ycresp PLEASE READ BEFORE DOING Business with this company! My husband and I took out a loan from this PFA and honestly have been struggling to make payments on time (but always do catch up). On 2/24/21 a gentlemen (unknown name) called and off top was disrespectful to my husband, he called him a bad word in Spanish followed by his last name, but prior to this a couple of months ago someone text my husband and wrote "tell your wife Yvonne I said hi", wanting to provoke my husband and get him mad. When I called today 2/25/21 the first person I spoke with "Francisco" was very disrespectful to me and dismissive. When trying to explain the situation that happened yesterday between my husband and a customer services representative to FRANCISCO, he totally dismissed anything I had to say and stated to me "That is not true, Im 100% sure that, that is not true", I told him "how are you sure if you have not even reviewed the phone call", he just dismissed me. I asked how his supervisor was and he said at first it was "Jesus" and when I asked him again what his supervisors name was he said "Luis". that could of just been a miss understanding, but when I questioned him about the name he stated "see that isnt even the name I gave you so how can what youre saying be true". So after hanging up with him I call back and spoke with a "George", Gorge was not rude to be, he just listened and I had him transfer me to "Luis". When I spoke with LUIS the first words out of his mouth where "are you going to make a payment today", off top being dismissive to me, i asked him "if the other guy had explained the situation to him and he stated "yes, we have everything documented". i kinda paused hoping that he would say that they would investigate it, however I got the exact opposite. He totally dismissed me and did not care what I had to say. So I asked for his supervisors name "the person above you", he said "George Montel", i could be spelling the name wrong. I called George Montel and left a message. Hopefully i will get a call back and get this resolved. Hopefully this isnt the word ethics of everyone at that job. PLEASE RETHINK where you invest your money before signing up with them.
