5 /5 Sarah Gatumu: Coming from completing my residency and fellowship, I had no idea about the complexity of taxes. We found an accountant who did a pretty good job for where we were at that time. As life happens, there were changes in the income which meant changes in the taxes. I was looking for an accountant who understood my current position as well as the future I was seeing for my family and I. I actually saw Genwealth on a Facebook ad in 2017 but I didn’t reach out until 2020. When I did, I was met by a wonderful team who took a good inventory of my unique circumstances. Mr. Shawn Davenport and his team showed great expertise in addressing my circumstances, making sure that I was completely compliant with the IRS and also setting me on an individualized plan for financial success. It’s very easy to set up appointments to speak with the team and they are prompt and knowledgeable in their responses. I am very grateful for what this team has done for us. Now, Genwealth has this client for life. My only wish is that I had started with them sooner. Any way, I’m here now and I will follow the plan and advise Shawn gives and I’m sure I’ll be in a better place as I work these next years to come. I just wish Shawn and his team all the best as they help others like me.

1 /5 Tarun Kumar: I reached out to this company after seeing an ad on Facebook. After my initial discussion with Sid, my wife and I did not feel comfortable sharing our sensitive information with the company, and requested another meeting to loop in our finance professionals to better vet our fit for Genwealth’s services. Sid and Shawn responded saying they were both booked solid for weeks and couldn’t fit us in for a meeting, so I told them I would like to then part ways. Sid responded immediately and scheduled a meeting with us. My wife, also a physician, I, and one of our finance professionals, all set aside time out of our busy schedules to speak with them on Apr 27th at 4P. They never called! I tried calling, I sent an e-mail, no response. The next morning, I got a voicemail from a new person, Tina, saying the building they are in is undergoing construction, which is why they weren’t able to call. She also stated that she would be handling the matter now because Sid has had some kind of emergency. Very shady business, would NOT recommend it.
